What is the secret to consistent sales performance?

I’m often asked what is the secret to consistent sales performance.  The answer is simple - have a great Monday.

Mondays are not just the beginning of the working week; they are the launchpad for success and set the tone for the week ahead.  Here are our five tips for growing your revenue through consistent sales performance.

1 - Plan for success…

Hitting the ground running on a Monday will help propel you to success for the rest of the week.  And how you perform on a Monday is based entirely on the preparation you undertook on the previous Friday afternoon or Sunday morning.  The most successful sales professionals know what outcomes they want to achieve before the week has even begun.

2 - Don’t open emails…

Too often the first task on a Monday morning is to open your email inbox and go straight into reactive mode and stay there for the rest of the day.  Instead, choose to do what’s most important and be proactive! 

3 - Call your customers…

Mondays are a great time to make follow-up calls or reach out to new customers.  Aim to complete five calls  before 10am - that way you start your day off doing what you do best, selling.

4 - Make a sale…

Set appointments on Mondays with customers you are confident are going to buy from you.  Not only will this give you a confidence boost to make another sale, it also shows customers how proactive you will be when they need your support.

5 - Repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat…

Once you’ve mastered the winning formulae for having a successful Monday - repeat it! For Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Consistency is the key to growing your revenue and winning more new sales.
